Community Service Learning Program
Empowering Youth and Families Outreach (EYFO) offers a Community Service Learning Program that teaches youth the importance of giving back to their community. Students decide on what service they want to provide the community.
Through these programs, our students learn how to identify issues in their communities and propose creative solutions to address them such as:
Cleaning up litter
Sending care packages to those in need
Hosting clothing drives
Distributing meals to those in need
Donating money to causes they are passionate about
Participating in community service learning programs like EYFOs teaches youth the importance of empathy, compassion, and social responsibility. It also promotes positive social change by providing students with opportunities to learn and develop through active community participation.
Students develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills by participating in these activities. They also learn how to work with people from diverse backgrounds and develop a sense of belonging to their community.
