The following is a list of Seattle nonprofit organizations that provide a variety of services that may be of value to you or someone you know.


  • Provides free classes and support services to people in need.

  • Connects job seekers with disabilities to employers.

Children and Youth

  • Operates the only youth shelters on the Eastside. These emergency shelters in Redmond (18-24 year olds) and Kirkland (7-17 year olds) provide safe, stable temporary living alternatives to young people who are dealing with a family crisis or currently homeless.

  • A Seattle-based nonprofit operating food education programs for youth and adults.

  • Works to help community members gain equitable opportunity to reach their full potential.

  • Advocate for domestic violence survivors.

Community Services

  • (SEYFS) is a non-profit social service agency, assists children, youth and families in King County by providing counseling, educational, social and life skills programs.

  • Serves homeless and formerly homeless men and women.

  • Seattle NAMI Seattle provides educational courses and support to all individuals impacted by mental illness: Those living with a mental illness, family members & friends, the community and professionals. All programs are offered at no cost to participants.

  • Identifies, shares and advocates for what is working in the Latino community.

  • Emergency shelter for homeless.


  • The Alliance provides a variety of services to any person in the community who has any disability, regardless of age or national origin (citizens and non-citizens, alike).

  • Ensures students with disabilities graduate with a job and/or post-secondary educational opportunities.


  • Find a Food Lifeline supported food bank, food pantry, or hot meal program close to you. This food is free and available to you, even if you don’t qualify for SNAP or EBT.

  • The Fresh Bucks incentive program provides a dollar for dollar match (in $2 increments) when you use your EBT/SNAP benefits at any of their Farmers Markets. This program is now available at Seattle Farmers Markets year-round, and as of Nov 4, 2017, there is NO LIMIT on the amount that can be matched!
